01 — How we work

Six things we won't compromise on,
even when the room is quiet.

Studio principles aren't posters on a wall. They're the questions we ask before saying yes — and the reasons we say no.

We stay small on purpose.

Twelve people, indefinitely. Growth is the slowest thing we do — one to two hires a year, always replacing a craft we don't already cover. Headcount is an output, not a goal.

Two engagements a quarter.

Two new projects per quarter, no more. It keeps every member of the studio close to every project, and it keeps us honest about who we say yes to.

Designers write code. Engineers notice the easing.

We don't run a design team and an engineering team. We run one team with overlapping practices. Pull-requests, prototype scripts, motion specs — everyone touches everything.

Quiet outputs.

We don't post for the algorithm. We post when we ship — and we ship in public. The work is the marketing, the rest is decoration.

Honest invoices.

We bill for the work, not the seat. If we finish a sprint early, the invoice is smaller. If a project gets harder, we tell you before the timesheet does.

The last four percent.

The first ninety-six percent of any project is a known quantity. We exist for the last four — the easings, the empty states, the late-night 'this isn't quite right' moments. That's where craft lives.

Sprint

Two-week sprints, demoed live, in code. No screenshot reviews. We ship to a staging URL every Friday.

Ship

Soft launch, then full. We sit next to your team for the first two weeks of public release.

05retainer

Aftercare

12 weeks of post-launch retainer. Two studio engineers on rotation. Then the codebase is fully yours.
